Jacob A. Konner


Jacob “Jack” Konner, 84 of Bethel, formerly of Ridgefield, husband of Carole (Sataniello) Konner, died at Filosa for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Danbury.

Jack was born in Patterson, NJ, February 26, 1927, son of the late Michael and Nathalie (Cohen)

Konner.  Raised in New Jersey, he attended Newark Academy and graduated from Rutgers University.

Mr. Konner was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a retired textile sales executive having owned and operated Sovereign Textiles of New York NY.

A resident of Ridgefield for the past forty years, he moved to Bethel a year ago.

In addition to his wife, Carole of forty-two years, Mr. Konner is survived by a son, Michael D. Konner and his wife, Edis of Morristown, NJ; three daughters, Rosemary Steinbaum and her husband, Robert of Montclair, NJ, Denise Konner and her husband, Sid Rowell of Gladstone, NJ and Debra Konner of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren, Marshall, Elliot, Tyler, Dylan, Harper and Baby Boy Konner to be born in two weeks.

Mr. Konner was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Konner.

Graveside funeral services and burial will take place on Saturday at 11:30 am in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

There will be no calling hours.
