Viola H. Lubus Dorr

Viola H. Lubus Dorr, 81 of Bethel, died on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Glen Hill Care and Rehabilitation Center, Danbury.

Viola was born in Danbury, March 10, 1930, daughter of Charles and Catherine (Betar) Lubus.  She attended Danbury schools and was an area real estate broker and insurance agent.

A lifelong area resident, she was a member of the Lebanon American Club Auxillary and St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church of Danbury and its Ladies Guild.

She is survived by three brothers, George R. Lubus of Danbury, CT, Hickey Jack Lubus of Hawleyville, CT and Raymond J. Lubus of Bridgewater, CT and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, Viola was predeceased by 2 sisters, Gala Elizabeth Estefan and Victoria Peggy Evans and by five brothers, Wilson Lubus, Arthur Edward Lubus, Charles M. Lubus Jr., Morris M. Lubus and Robert C. Lubus.

The Liturgy of the Resurrection will take place on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 10:30 am in St. Anthony Maronite Church with the Rev. Jean Younes officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.

The family will receive friends at St. Anthony Maronite Church on Monday from 9:15 am to 10:15 am.
