Betty D.  Clark

Elizabeth “Betty” (Duzbak) Clark, age 76 went home to the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

She was the wife of Richard J. Clark.

Betty was born on May 10, 1934 in Danbury, a daughter of the late Alex and Elizabeth (Bordach) Dzubak and attended local schools and graduated from Danbury High School.

In addition to her husband of fifty-nine years, she leaves a daughter, Diane Bailey and her husband Michael; a son, Richard J. Clark, Jr. and daughter in law, Cindy. She also leaves four grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, Austin and Jenna; three great-grandchildren, Jacob and twins Alyssa and Anthony.

She also leaves three sisters, Irene Zurinskas, Margaret Wichman and Florence Maroto; two brothers, John “Chi” Dzubak and Robert Dzubak; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by five sisters, Mary Bielawski, Ann Dannion, Lillian Bertalovitz, Ethel Wilson and Dorothy Read; three brothers, Joseph Dzubak, Edward Dzubak and Frank Dzubak.

Betty enjoyed being a homemaker, doing yard work, spending summers in Maine, playing cards and baking with her church family, The Golden Dome Bakers of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Danbury.

She loved spending time with her family and will be sorely missed.

Betty’s family would like to thank the staff at Danbury Hospital and Glen Hill for their compassionate care.  They would also like to thank the many family, friends and neighbors who were always there for her.

The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 7:00 PM in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 13 Pembroke Rd., Danbury with the Rev. Michael G. Popson, Pastor officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury at the direction of the family.

There will be no calling hours.  The family will receive friends at St. Nicholas Church after 6:30 PM and following the Divine Liturgy in the Church Hall.

Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to one’s own favorite charity.
