Frances P. Carboni

 

Frances CarboniFrances P. Carboni, a 70 + year resident of Ridgefield, CT, beloved Mother Grandmother and Great-grandmother died at her home on Sunday, July 24, 2011 surrounded by her family.

She was 95 years old and predeceased by Quinto J. Carboni.  Mrs. Carboni was born in Danbury, CT on December 31, 1915 the daughter of the late Philip and Rosa Proli.  Mrs. Carboni was a graduate of St. Peter School, Danbury High School and Americos Beautician School.

Frances will be sadly missed by her children: Joan & Jack Hughes of Colorado Springs, CO, Harry & Sandy Carboni of Willimantic, CT, Theresa (Honey) & Patrick Carmody of Southington, CT, Mary Ellen & Joseph Pacific of Danbury, CT, Francine Carmody and Elizabeth Carboni of Ridgefield, CT. 

She is survived by her sister Quentina DeMici of Danbury, CT , 15 grandchildren and 36 great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Carboni will not only be joining her husband in the hands of the Lord but her late Granddaughter Hope Hughes and her brother Anthony Proli, and her sisters Theresa Gazzillo and Rosamond Patella.

Mrs. Carboni was known for her warm hospitality and abundance of home cooked meals.  Her home was always open to anyone with an appetite.  Mrs. Carboni was also an avid reader, knitter and african violets thrived in her care.  She was a member of the Italian American Ladies Mutual Aid Society, St. Mary’s Rosary Society and Red Cross Volunteer.

She will be missed by all and remembered for Sunday Family Dinners, quick wit, her “words of wisdom” to her children and open arms to anyone who entered her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT on Friday, July 29th at 10:15 am.

Friends will be received in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT  on Thursday from 5-8 pm.
