Steven L. Campbell

Steven L. Campbell, 61 of Danbury, husband of Sharon (Falis) Campbell died at the Danbury Hospital on Friday, November 11, 2011 after a courageous twenty-three year battle with cancer.

He was a person of great faith; he has now gone home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mr. Campbell was born in Great Lakes, IL, June 8, 1950 a son of the late Jack and Betty (Livingood) Campbell and was raised and educated in New Milford, CT.  He graduated from New Milford High School in the Class of 1969 and later attended Western CT State University.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1970 to 1976 and was employed by Columbia Magnetics and Teknicircuits. He later became an Emergency Medical Technician having been associated with Danbury Ambulance and the municipalities of Bethel, Brookfield and Georgetown. He was also a Patient Care Technician at Danbury Hospital.

Steve was a member of the Danbury Fire Police and Wooster Hose #5 Volunteer Fire Company.

He enjoyed flying and playing his trombone.

A person who was loved and admired by his family, friends and co-workers, he will be sadly missed.

His grandchildren were his absolute pride and joy.

In addition to his wife of thirty-five years, he is survived by a son, William Anderson and his wife, Kimberly of Waterbury; two daughters, Laurie Kravarik of Waterbury and Melissa Silva and her husband, Dennis of Danbury; two sisters, Glenda Stinson of IL and Jessica Campbell of Winsted, CT; six grandchildren, Brendan, Michael, Devin, Jordan, William and Shannon and by several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2 PM at his residence.

There will be no calling hours.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and admiration to Dr. Robert Kloss and Staff for the care, concern and friendship given to Steven and family through the years of his illness.  May you be blessed.
