Laurie Berry

Laurie (Laurice Showah) Berry, 77 of Bethel, wife of Carl Berry died at her home on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.

Mrs. Berry was born in Danbury, July 4, 1934, a daughter of Louis and Virginia (Kozam) Showah.  She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School and was employed by ITT Industries, Sales/Marketing Dept. of New Britain and Cromwell, CT.  She had also been employed by Amphenol RF Products of Danbury for many years.

She was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Danbury and of its Ladies Society.

In addition to her husband, Carl, she is survived by two sons, Matthew Berry and wife, Cheryl of Seminole, FL and Jonathan Berry and his wife, Alisa of Wilton, CT; a grandson, Justin Berry; a granddaughter, Carina Berry; a brother in law, Charles Steck III of Bethel; a sister in law, Beverly Showah of Scottsdale, AZ and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berry was predeceased by two brothers, Sam L. Showah and George Showah and by two sisters, Rose Steck and Lillian Gramesty.

The Rite of Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11 am in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 125 Kohanza St., Danbury with the V. Rev. Fr. George Alberts, Pastor officiating.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends at St. George Church on Tuesday after 10:30 am.
