Christopher D. Vill

Christopher D. Vill, 20, of Ridgefield, son of Andrew and Angela (Moreau) Vill, died on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Danbury Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Chris was born in Danbury, May 23, 1990, he attended Ridgefield schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School in the Class of 2008.  He attended Norwalk Community College.

Active in the scouting program, Chris attained Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 49. For his Eagle service project, he restored a canon at the Danbury Military Museum.

An assembly technician with the Barden Corporation of Danbury, he previously was employed part-time at Limestone Service Station, Ridgefield.

A lifelong resident of Ridgefield, he enjoyed cars, fishing, camping, the outdoors and cooking. He was a generous and loving son, brother and friend. His genuine personality and warm smile touched all who knew him.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, Ridgefield.

In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his two sisters, Catherine Vill and Joanna Vill; two brothers, Andrew Vill and Joseph Vill all of Ridgefield; his paternal grandfather, Andrew Vill of Ridgefield; his maternal grandparents, Armand and Yvonne Moreau of Danbury as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Angela Vill. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10AM in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Rd., Ridgefield.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.

The family will receive friends in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield on Sunday from 4PM to 7PM.
The recitation of the Rosary will take place at 4:15PM.

Contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Seton Church in his memory.
