Sara M. Kramer, 64, of Danbury, wife of George C. Kramer died on Monday morning, January 4, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Kramer was born in Petach-Tikva, Israel, November 15, 1945, daughter of Joseph and Zahavah (Sachs) Yeskin. Mrs. Kramer served in the Israeli army, obtained a teacher’s degree and was a first grade teacher in Israel.
 She immigrated to the United States in 1966 from Israel and first settled in New York, NY.
A resident of Danbury since 1967 coming from New York, NY, Mrs. Kramer for many years was a Hebrew and Judaic Studies teacher at Maimonides Academy and the United Jewish Center.
In 1999, Mrs. Kramer became a flight attendant and worked with Continental Airlines as an international flight attendant flying the Newark to Tel Aviv route.
A member of the Danbury Concert Association, she was a life member of Hadassah and other Jewish organizations.
In addition to her husband George of forty-two years, Mrs. Kramer is survived by two sons, Adriel (Sue Glasser,MD) Kramer, MD of West Hartford, CT and Eli (Hadar)Kramer, MD of Ambler, PA; a brother, Hezi Yeskin of Israel and three grandchildren, Emma, Ethan and Maytal.
Funeral services were held in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury with Rabbi Sholom Y. Deitsch of Chabad of Northern Fairfield County officiating.
Burial followed in United Jewish Center Cemetery, Gray’s Bridge Rd., Brookfield.
A Period of Mourning will be observed at the Kramer Residence today and Thursday from 11AM to 1PM and 4PM to 7PM, Friday from 11AM to 1PM, Saturday from 4PM to 7PM, Sunday from 11AM to 1PM and 4PM to 7PM and Monday from 11AM to 1PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah. (
