She was born June 10, 1918 in Methuen, MA, daughter of the late Deeb and Ramza (Murad) Jurdy.  Isabelle attended schools in MA and was a long time Danbury resident.

Isabelle was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, Emil as well as her sisters, Mary Kakadeles, Clara Maccarini and Lorraine Aberisk and by her brother, George Jurdy. She is survived by her daughter, Norman Kalil Osta of Stamford; her son, Ronald Kalil and his wife, Carla of St. Simons Island, GA and her grandchild, Elizabeth Kalil of Portland, Maine as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Isabelle loved traveling extensively with her husband.  She was thrilled to be exposed to other cultures and adventures.  Isabelle also had a profound love for horses.  She and Emil owned a stable of harness horses that they raced throughout the country.

Mrs. Kalil was a past president of the Ladies’ Guild of St. Anthony’s Maronite Church, Danbury.  She was an active member of her church and amember of the Order of St. Sharbel.  Isabelle was a spiritual woman and her faith meant everything to her.  When asked about friends and family, Isabelle would always say, “They’re so nice!”  Her heart was open to all she met and Isabelle will be sorely missed by all.
