Elizabeth P. Fennell
Elizabeth “Betty’’ Fennell of Boynton Beach, FL and Ridgefield, CT , and formerly of the Bronx, NY, died June 30th at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, CT, after a short illness  She was 76. 
The daughter of the late Martin Harrigan and Delia Broderick, she was born in the Bronx on March 17, 1934.  She was retired after a long career with New York Telephone and Verizon.
Betty was the beloved wife of the late James Fennell, and beloved mother to Noreen Fennell and her husband Vincent Capozzi of Tuxedo Park, NY, Patrick and his wife Linda of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Mary Anne and her husband Robert Heino of Pennington, NJ, Kevin and his wife Gail of Ridgefield, CT, and Theresa and her husband Joseph of West Hartford, CT.  She was the adored “Nanny” of her eight beloved grandchildren: Christopher and Katharine Capozzi, Connor and Liam Heino, Abigail Fennell, and Joseph, Nicholas and James Ravalese.  She is survived by her loving sister, Beatrice O’Dea of Woodside, NY.
Betty will be always remembered for her love of her family, her devotion to her grandchildren, and her quick wit and her strength—and her many interests including her passion for her Irish heritage and culture, her love of the sun and beach and her many happy memories of good times in Rockaway and Florida, and a good game of cards.  She has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her—but so many happy memories and stories that will last forever.
The family will receive friends at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT on Wednesday, July 7th, from 2to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 8th at 10:15 a.m. a St Mary’s Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield, CT.  Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
