Anna Jane Cimino, 78, of Danbury, wife of Jack Cimino, died on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at her home.

Mrs. Cimino was born in Middletown, CT, July 24, 1931, a daughter of Daniel and Rose (Saracino) Savage.  She attended Middletown schools.

Anna and Jack were married in 1950 in Middletown.  Jack was invited to be an usher at a friend’s wedding and Anna turned out to be his bridesmaid.  Two days later, Jack proposed and Anna accepted; but only after being required by Anna to ask her father for her hand.  He did and received the OK.  Many folks predicted the marriage wouldn’t last.  How wrong they were!

A resident of Danbury since 1950, Mrs. Cimino was a homemaker.  She attended St. Peter’s Church, Danbury.

Mrs. Cimino’s greatest joy was to be of assistance to her family, neighbors and friends; twenty four/seven, three hundred and sixty five days a year. She enjoyed helping other people.

In addition to her husband of sixty-years, she is survived by three sons, John of Norwich, CT, Mark of Danbury and his wife, Donna and Matthew of Danbury; a brother, Daniel Savage of Amston, CT; a sister, Viola Landry of Middletown, CT; two grandchildren, Mark and Dana and a great grandchild.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 6:30PM in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury.

Cremation will take place at Charter Oak Crematorium, Oxford, CT.

The family will receive friends in the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, Danbury on Tuesday after 4PM.
